LPG Safety 101: Essential Rules for Every Home

Liquid Petroleum Gas (LPG) is a clean, efficient, and versatile energy source, but like all fuels, it must be handled with care. Safety is our top priority at Flora Gases. Whether you are using gas for cooking at home or for industrial processes, following these safety guidelines is essential.

Always ensure your gas cylinders are stored upright in a well-ventilated area, away from direct sunlight and sources of ignition. Never try to force a regulator onto a cylinder if it doesn't fit easily. If you smell gas (a rotten egg odor), turn off the valve immediately, open windows, and do not switch on any electrical appliances.

Regular inspections of your gas hoses and connections are crucial. Look for signs of wear, cracks, or brittleness. At Flora, we recommend replacing hoses every 5 years and regulators every 10 years to ensure maximum safety.

Great advice! I didn't realize panel cleaning made such a big difference. I'll definitely check my MPPT controller as well.
